“Being a UK graduate and continuing the tradition with my children attending, I feel it is extremely important to support the college that means so much to my family. We only hope that we can give back as much to UK as it has given to each of us.”

All Wildcat parents want the best for their students, but they also know how expensive educating a student can be. By contributing to the University of Kentucky Parents Philanthropy Fund, you can ensure that all students have an excellent educational experience and ease the financial burden for future UK parents.

The Parents Philanthropy Fund benefits UK Student and Academic Support, a division of the Office of Student and Academic Life that oversees programs that help students transition to college, learn about university resources, receive academic advising and connect with employers and internships through Career Services.

Parent donors can support UK in other ways, too. By establishing a scholarship, you help future Wildcats realize their academic dreams. Scholarships are a top priority for the university, because they enable UK to attract talented students, making their education more affordable. A scholarship also helps your family leave a legacy at UK, showing future generations your commitment and gratitude to the institution that shaped your child.

At UK, legacy extends beyond philanthropy. Families leave their mark in a variety of ways at UK, including through a tradition of attendance. If your child is a legacy student – one of their parents or step-parents earned an undergraduate, graduate, doctoral or professional degree from UK – please let us know.
